World Quality Day

World Quality Day was introduced by the United Nations in 1990 to raise awareness of the significance of quality. Quality is a lynchpin of success; it affects every aspect of business, from the performance of its personnel and processes, to its professional responsibilities and its innovation, growth and sustainability.

World Quality Day is celebrated across the globe each November; it is intended to increase worldwide awareness of the vital contribution that quality makes towards growth, and prosperity.

What is quality?

In business, engineering, and manufacturing, quality has a practical interpretation.  The often used term is ‘fit for purpose’ meaning that the item advertised is suitable for its intended purpose. However, quality goes far deeper than that, it is an ever-evolving perception by the client, of the inherent value provided by a product or service.

It is not a static perception, to maintain quality a business must be dedicated to improving its products, services, systems and processes.

Why is quality so important?

Businesses live and die on their reputation; at Energy Technology and Control we understand that. A strong reputation for quality is an important differentiator, especially in markets that are very competitive.

Our unique ability to label combustion control products as our customers’ own has gained us an outstanding reputation worldwide for delivering trusted products our customers can confidently build their own reputation upon.

For an organisation such as Energy Technology and Control to survive and succeed, quality must be ingrained in everything we do.
