Energy Technology & Control began its rise to global dominance, in the field of design and development of combustion controls and technology in 1988. The European approval and subsequent positive UK reception of its first product – the ETC3000 electronic air fuel ratio controller – whet the company’s appetite to grow the brand.
Following the positive reception of the ETC3000, Energy Technology & Control took its first steps into the worldwide market, launching in the USA in 1998 and in Australia in 2000. Keen to maintain this impressive trajectory, new products were a focus. When the ETC6000 Burner Management System was launched in 2006 it sped up the company’s ascent across Europe. Further new products – the ETC 6008, ETC6009 and ETC 6003 – saw Energy Technology & Control move into Africa and South America.
Now, with more than 30 years’ experience designing and manufacturing innovative electronic burner controls for industrial applications that cut energy costs and emissions, Energy Technology & Control products can now be found in every corner of the world, from Australia to Azerbaijan, China to Cyprus, Mexico to Morocco and Saudi Arabia to Switzerland, the company even has a stronghold in the oceans of the world thanks to the boiler monitoring devices installed on trans-oceans sea freight transporters.
The products designed and developed by Energy Technology & Control have carved a niche for themselves in large variety of applications, from petro-chemical processing and power generation where its’ air fuel ratio controllers are used to regulate the efficiency of the combustion process. To breweries and food and dairy processing where rotary actuators help to efficiently control monitor and maximize processing and packaging. There are fabric manufacturers and paper mills which rely on the ETC produced oxygen trim to ensure the maximum efficiency through the firing range of the boiler, and power plants and campuses where the employees depend on the ETC display panels for vital maintenance data.
The array of combustion control products produced by Energy Technology & Control, now form the lynchpin of many of its customers businesses. Managing Director Martin Thirsk said: “As a company, we pride ourselves on our solid customer relationships – tailoring products to meet our customers’ applications – and strong emphasis on R&D as such all of our burner control products are approved to international standards.
