With an operating temperature range of -80–410°C, the ETC6048 is well suited to low and mid-temperature systems, including steam boilers, thermal oil heaters and closed water systems. A compact stainless-steel probe combined with an IP65-rated housing ensures dependable performance in challenging industrial environments.

Two sensors with hydroscopic power enhance the reliability and failure detection, especially with respect to potential water contamination.

For ease of maintenance, the sensor is typically installed in a thermal well or pocket, allowing it to be replaced quickly without draining the system. This design significantly reduces downtime during servicing and maintenance.

The ETC6048 connects directly to the ETC6000 via CANBUS, allowing the controller to alter firing rates, implement temperature limits and trigger alarms or shutdowns as needed. Its fast, stable response helps improve fuel efficiency, reduce thermal stress and maintain consistent process temperatures.

The ETC6048 has a 12 mm plug/socket connection for quick disconnection.

In the event of overheating, the ETC6000 – using data from the ETC6048, can immediately shut down the burner or immediately activate protective logic, helping safeguard equipment and personnel as well as supporting compliance with industrial safety standards.

With the ETC6048, maintenance efforts are reduced. The pocket-mounted design allows for straightforward sensor replacement. In most cases, an annual inspection of mounting, wiring and sensor readings are sufficient to ensure ongoing accuracy.
