Automatically fine tune with oxygen trim
With electronic fuel:air ratio controls you can:
- precisely set oxygen levels to their optimum level to maximise fuel savings without compromising safety
- make adjustments automatically and continuously to compensate for variables that affect combustion, such as atmospheric air pressure, humidity, gas pressure variations, dirty fuel oil filters and backlash in linkages
- prolong the life of your boilers and avoid costly downtime by tightly controlling combustion to avoid tube damage
Oxygen Trim is a closed loop system available as an option on our burner controls.
Oxygen trim was first employed on industrial boilers / burners 15 years ago; about the same time that Lambda control was first used on cars. Our probes are robust with typical lifetime of 7 years. |

Oxygen trim automatically and continuously compensates for the variables that affect efficient combustion.
With mechanical cams and linkages the engineer must set the oxygen level high to retain a margin of safety. When oxygen trim is included, the oxygen levels can be set at their optimum level. In addition, if the trim control is adaptive — as ETC controls are — it will contribute maximum energy savings of approximately 3%.
