INTRODUCTION
Oxygen trim can be added to ETC6000 Integrated Control Systems and ETC6100 Fuel Air Ratio Control Systems by adding an ETC6080 Oxygen Trim Interface and an ETC2012 Zirconia Oxygen probe. By utilising oxygen trim up to 3.5% energy saving can be made; this not only saves fuel costs but also reduces emissions. The utilisation of oxygen trim makes the combustion process a ‘closed loop’ continually optimising the fuel air ratio to compensate for variables such as barometric pressure, humidity, gas pressure changes and dirty fuel oil filters that can all have a detrimental effect on the combustion process.
ETC zirconia oxygen probes have earned an international reputation for reliability and longevity. With minimal but appropriate servicing many probes have had a lifetime of 10 years or more. Fitted to the uptakes of the world’s super-tanker fleets, on the flues of industrial boilers burning gas, oil, chicken dung, car tyres, wood or coal or clinical and industrial waste incinerators, ETC probes continue to impress our end-users.
The oxygen probe can also be supplied as part of a standalone ETC2800 Flue Gas Oxygen Analyser.
